Once you test your site speed through Google’s page speed test or on GT Metrix, you will get a lot of suggestions to improve your site’s loading time. Those are all good method, but there are also a Lot of Best ways to Speed up your WordPress Website.

How to Speed up WordPress Website Load Faster?

1. Register your domain some other place rather than your hosting company.

I have seen many Fellow Bloggers using Hosting from one Server and buy a domain from another server. I was thinking why? Then after discussing with them, I came to know that they buy a domain from the company who specializes in a domain service, Reliable Hosting which can Maintain your Real Time Traffic without any issues, and it also can boost your website speed.

Do You know why they are using Hosting and Domain from Two Different Server. Below are their Answers

Well, I was Using Godaddy Shared Hosting separately for all my sites, My sites speed and Server Response were always Slow from Last 2 Years But somehow I was optimizing my website speed. But this Year, I bought Cloud Hosting from Hostgator for my Etechexplorer Blog and other amazon niche Sites and Now I can see Website Speed and Server Response is too Fast. I am Happy as there is no Lag and No issues to my sites!. But I do Buy Domains from Godaddy as they offer Low Rates on all their Domains.

It’s Better to Buy Good Reliable Hosting server rather than wasting time on Hosting which are creating issues and with very bad Response rate. Buy Hosting Only for your Blog, as you know you are writing your Blog for the Readers, if they see your Site Loads very slowly then they might not visit your site again. So Buy a Good Hosting and Be Happy with $$$$!

2. Choose a Good Hosting Plan

Cheap hosting can’t be compared with good quality or good hosting. Make sure that if you want your website to load fast then Hosting server should be good enough to handle amounts of content and traffic you are receiving. Most of the bloggers choose Shared hosting plans that mean thousands of website on the same Shared Hosting server, which means a website will take a time to Load. Having a Good Hosting plan is one of the Best Key to Load your website fast.

This Month, I choose Cloud Hosting from Hostgator.in ( Business Cloud )

I am Happy using this Plan, it can handle 100+ Real Time without any issues and without down Time.

As per my Discussion with Fellow Bloggers, I have found out Most of them are using Digital Ocean Server.

Below is the Plan, You can choose any as per your need.

3. Use a Good Quality Paid themes

I would prefer ThemeForest themes, they are fast, Good customer Support, and awesome Design Themes. I buy WordPress themes only from Themeforest site. I had bought Newspaper WordPress theme for my Etechexplorer Blog 3 Years Back as it has a lot of Features Like Responsive Ads support System, a Mobile theme for Speed, Premium and Free Widgets, User-Friendly Header Styles, Integrated with E-commerce Support, Review system, Built-in translation support, and it has also used by 36,130 Customers.

It is one of the Popular Theme in Themeforest and Most of the Bloggers use this Theme as it is easy to use and with a Good amount of features.

Even free themes and custom themes can slow down your website. But before you purchase any theme, just run it via Google Page Speed Test to see How theme loads fast.

Some of the Themes you can use for your Blogs:

  • Sahifa – Responsive WordPress News
  • Good news – Responsive WordPress News
  • SmartMag – Responsive & Retina WordPress

4. Limit the Number of Fonts

Using too many Fonts in a website will create a problem and Make your site slow. While selecting a font from Google fonts, it will show you load time of the Font, and it will tell you if it will slow down your website.

I am using Montserrat Google Font in Most of the Sites. As it is attractive and Loads Fast.

I Had found this Issue in Google Page Speed Test of one of my Clients website.

See he is Using Too Many Fonts in a Single Sites. I Hope you Understood.

5. Optimize Images

Images are number 1 reason to slow down your website. Make sure you resize your images, featured images etc before publishing it live on a website.

I use WP Smush Pro Plugin for Most of the Sites: It is fastest, Easiest and Best image compression Plugin for WordPress.

Check this Below Video:

Note: Make use of Image optimization Plugin only if your website speed goes below 4 sec. and also Check your server response time too using Google analytics.

6. Limit Plugins Usage

You can use as many plugins you want there is no limit, but some plugins might affect your site speed while some plugins can affect your page speed. Make Use of P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) to test which plugins are slowing down your site and then decide whether or not those plugins are necessary or not. Also, Remove inactive Plugins.

Here are List of the Plugins which I Use in all my Sites

  • Anti-spam
  • Google XML Sitemaps
  • Shareaholic | share buttons
  • WP Fastest Cache
  • WPBakery Visual Composer
  • Yoast SEO

7. Use of a cache plugin

You can make use of WP Fastest Cache, it is a very useful plugin for all WordPress sites.

In my Hostgator Cloud Hosting Cpanel, it has inbuilt Caching features which help you to load your site fast.

8. Turn off Pingbacks and trackbacks

Pingbacks and trackback enabled is an excellent way to see who is sharing your post link on their site, but it uses your speed juice to pull that information. My blog had this problem, but now I have disabled pingbacks and trackbacks. You will have to Install WP-Optimize Plugin. Go to Plugin settings, select Remove Pingbacks and Remove Trackbacks and Click on Run Optimization.

Once this is Completed, Clear your Browser Cache

Note: Use this WP-Optimize Plugin once in a week and then Uninstall.

9. Use default WP comment system

Most popular third party comment systems are good and best, but they can also be a problem to slow your website down. If your website is taking a lot of time to load then, you might feel like to switch back to the default WordPress comment system.

  3. It’s not necessary that all hosting companies will give you slow speeds if you buy domain and hosting from same place. It’s totally depend on customer how much they are aware about hosting features and factors which causing issues. DO has tier 3 data centre and cloud technology but GoDaddy usages low class DC to place their servers with normal RAID 10 drive that’s why you feel DO is good in terms of speed but in terms security cPanel with additional firewalls are better than your nude droplets at digital ocean
